Woodland Community Development Corporation

Roses Creek Rd.

WCDC’s mission is to offer housing and small business opportunities primarily to the very low and low income residents of the Clearfork Valley community through cooperation with the local community land trust.  We aim to nurture community economic growth through initiation and assistance to microenterprise and small business.  Woodland has also committed to promote the well being of youth through education, leadership in the community and strong personal growth.

WCDC was  established in 1989 and is situated in the Clearfork Valley of East Tennessee, serving Campbell and Claiborne County.  The Clearfork Valley is made up of 12 unincorporated towns with no local governance. This leaves many people feeling that they have no voice or impact on issues or decisions that concern their lives. Woodland Community Development Corporation strives to give people a voice and the ability to impact their world.

WCDC is a member of the Federation of Appalachian Housing Enterprise Inc (FAHE). FAHE leads a network of Appalachian organizations to sustainable growth and measurable impact through collective voice and provides access to capital that creates housing and promotes community development. To learn more about FAHE, visit their website at www.fahe.org.
