2001 Quilt by Clydia Lasely and LorettaQuilt hand pieced and quilted by Clydia Lasely and her sister Loretta in 2001

Clydia learned to quilt from her grandmother. She explains "We’d sit and quilt.  But Grandma King could make quilts, and I mean she would make them in a hurry, that woman could.  She was so good at it though and neat too. She was neat at it. She was not no sloppy person. She’s like my mother, 'if you are going to do it, do it right.'"
